STAR Group acquires IMG Engineering

STAR Group (‘STAR’) purchased 100% of the shares in technical project firm IMG Engineering GmbH. IMG uses its technical expertise to provide highly qualified project support within the Oil, Gas, Power and related industries. IMG clients are among the most renowned companies in the process industry and energy sector. The firm was founded in 2011 and operates mainly in Germany and has its head office in Gelsenkirchen.

Francois Claeijs, founder and CEO of STAR:
“IMG has built up a strong position by providing excellent quality project support in Engineering, Construction, Project management and Safety. IMG’s business model, connecting the best specialists with the greatest and most challenging projects in the Oil, Gas, Power and related process industry, seamlessly fits into STAR’s strategy. This takeover primarily strengthens STAR’s position in Germany. In addition, IMG’s excellent network will also boost our growth in the Benelux.

Our leading market position enables us to expand and improve our services to both our clients and technical specialists more than ever. We see IMG as the right partner to give our progress added impetus. We are therefore very pleased to be able to announce this acquisition, which was made possible in part by the active support of our shareholder, Parcom Capital.”
