Investment in further growth of family business Jan Snel

Parcom Capital and Jan Snel announce today the participation of Parcom Capital as shareholder in Jan Snel, market leader and innovator in flexible building in the Netherlands.

Jan Snel, with 120 million euro of revenues in 2015 and more than 250 employees, is market leader in modular building in the Netherlands. The family business is led by Harry van Zandwijk and Jacqueline van Zandwijk-Snel who will remain involved as shareholder and management. Jan Snel has 55 years of experience in flexible building and converts the requests of clients to (semi) permanent accommodation solutions in all market segments.

Jan Snel executes assignments that vary from a single office to a comprehensive school building and from student housing to healthcare institutions. Jan Snel designs, builds, transports and installs complete units, for short or long term, for sale, lease or rent.

Harry van Zandwijk, CEO Jan Snel: “The last years, we have grown tremendously and we have given modular building a new impetus. The concept of modular building is the creation of units in the workplace that are being put together on the construction site: it’s just like lego.  We see vast opportunities for further growth and it is our ambition to become market leader in modular building in Europe. We are very enthusiastic to welcome Parcom Capital as a new shareholder of our company to facilitate this growth. Parcom Capital is a highly reputable Dutch investor that brings besides financial power professionalism and expertise, that will allow us to even better service our clients.”

Gijs Vuursteen, Partner Parcom Capital: “We are delighted with our investment in this innovative ambitious family business with a proven track-record of 55 years. The opportunities for modular building are considerable and Jan Snel is extremely well positioned for further growth in this promising growth market. Temporary housing is also becoming increasingly popular abroad. International clients understand the benefits and speed at which Jan Snel can realize temporary housing projects. We look forward to the partnership with this motivated management team to realize further growth together.”

The transaction is subject to competition authority’s approval.
