Parcom Ventures acquires stake in Becom
3 February 2007Parcom acquired a 30% stake in TDM Holdings, a newly formed holding company, that bought 100% of the shares of The Becom Group Holding and Inforsacom. The remainder of the shares are held by management and private investors. A large part of the proceeds of the financing will be used for the expansion of the group through follow-on acquisitions. The group has a turnover of approximately EUR 270 million and is active as an ICT system integrator and value added reseller of midrange servers and mainframe computers. The activities are spread over Germany (around 80% of turnover), the Netherlands, Switzerland and Austria. The group is the nr 1 reseller of IBM servers and infrastructure products in Europe and is in the top 5 of system integrators in Germany. Around 25% of turnover is in infrastructure related services. The CEO is Terence Bruyn, whose buy & build strategy started in 2002 with the first acquisition of BREASE BV in the Netherlands, with 20 employees and EUR 8 million of revenues.
Parcom´s investment will enable Becom to further expand its activities in neighbouring countries and to accelerate its growth into infrastructure-related service business.
